Here I am in Notre Dame, doing 5 weeks in family medicine. Its kind of in the middle of nowhere- 50 minutes from Portage La Prairie, 90 minutes from Winnipeg. Population: 650.

Its very pretty:

Its s change from being in the city- Notre Dame is a bit of a one-horse town. They had to let me out early the first day so i could grocery shop before the store closed at 5pm.

The days are good. I'm studying lots, and going on lots of walks, and hanging out in my groovy 70s style basement apartment.

Just been on vacation for two weeks. Instead of going away, Terry and I spent time here in Manitoba. Lots of time at the lake waterskiing and swimming, and lots of lounging time. We also hung out in the city and went out to dinner a few times, saw lots of movies, and did a lot of sleeping in.

Woo hoo for holidays!!!

Wednesday I start family medicine in St. Anne, Manitoba.
